"Is There A God For Haiti?????????"

Recuso-me a ver imagens de mais uma catástrofe, recuso-me a ouvir detalhes sobre tal desgraça, a minha pobre cabeça parece querer rebentar, está demasiado frágil mais uma vez.... Sinto o estômago embrulhado, apetece-me gritar estou dividida entre o esforço para não chorar e a raiva de pouco ou nada poder fazer...

Encontrei este texto num blog da Sky News escrito por Jon-Christopher Bua, analista político e comentador da Casa Branca, sinto uma enorme necessidade de partilhá-lo...

" Is There A God For Haiti?"

"I was told as a young man that God does not ask you to take up a cross unless you can actually bear that burden. In the case of the gentle and noble people of Haiti the question is: When does the burden relent?

It is hard to imagine a people who have been given more crosses to bear - poverty, corruption, political unrest, floods, hurricanes and now a devastating 7.3 earthquake. It is often said that a picture speaks a thousand words... how ironic that Haiti's feeble infrastructure before the earthquake was so fragile that in one moment, a wave of destruction could cut Haiti off from the world community. Save the creative and innovative OnLine community, the people of Haiti would have been totally helpless to tell us their gruesome story for the past twenty-four hours. Haiti is so primitive and so developmentally removed from her Caribbean neighbours, that it is a daunting task for the most determined of news teams to actually get there and tell the story of this utter devastation.The irony is, this story of abject suffering was there happening every day even before this latest catastrophe took place. We all now live in a global community but without the images it is easy to ignore the human the condition. Haiti's latest misfortune will capture our attention... for the next few days while the world community tries to save lives and aid pours in - until we move on to the next tragedy or perhaps the next folly. Haiti's daily life is a struggle that few in the Western Hemisphere could ever comprehend. Armies of people who dedicate their lives to helping others have been confounded by the misery that is Haiti. Among them 45,000 Americans await rescue from their government.The US, Mexico, Canada and Venezuela Haiti's comparatively wealthy neighbours have all allowed these conditions to exist for a very long time. Since Haiti is so poor and disorganized that it cannot pose a threat to the region and has no vital natural resources especially oil, so it remains ignored. Normal conditions on this island nation are so bad that its citizens regularly risk life and limb on make-shift rafts in desperate attempts to reach Florida's shores.These brave immigrants work hard to built a new life in America and send money home to help those they have left behind. It is hard to understand how these people who have so little are asked to endure even more. Maybe this time when the "breaking news" is over the world community will not turn its back on this island nation. Maybe this time after this tragedy Haiti's neighbours and the world community will begin to fix a failed state because it is the human thing to do."

À mesma hora para o ano que vem

Nesta altura do ano é comum ouvirmos " bom ano" algumas vezes por dia , é daquelas frases que "entra a 100 e sai a 200"...

Até aos vinte pensei que fosse viver para sempre, gradualmente fui querendo viver cada dia como se fosse o último, mas apenas como pura filosofia de vida, sem êxito, quantas vezes adiei o futuro e perdi tempo, o meu precioso tempo, agora tenho a consciência de que a minha vida é como um Dente de Leão, os minutos e segundos soltam-se para nunca mais voltarem, por vezes, quando me sinto um pouco mais feliz essa realidade está mais presente, tenho ainda mais medo e penso que gostaria de ouvir : "bom ano" durante mais cem anos... Ou duzentos.
"Live fast and die young" desta frase não gosto...
A Lili disse :"Estar vivo é o contrário de estar morto" gosto desta, gosto muito até pode ser a mais ou a menos filosófica frase dependendo do ponto de vista, e mais, acho que há uma grande diferença entre estes dois estados, "é como da noite para o dia" não?( uau... brilhante). :) :)
